Yet again I have been rather lax in posting the review of our last tweetup, please accept my appologies. I must admit that I am stuggling to remember what took place at our little Christmas party, in no small part this is probably due to the "jar or two" consumed thoughout the evening. But what I do know is that a good time was had and I hope others enjoyed it also..

Yep, I know - there is no review this month as I'm so late in doing it that I haven't got the foggiest what happened - appart from a good bunch of folks drinking and chatting..

Well there was one thing, it was @lostmoya's last #FridayDrinks. He and his good lady are expecting so are moving, any day now, up to Newcastle to be closer to family - I'm sure we'll all, in unison, wish them the best and raise a glass when the time comes..

And so we enter the third year in the life of #FridayDrinks. If the group were a human child we'd be entering the challenging phase between a toddler and fully-fledged little person. Not quite up to the correct application of past tense verb forms, but able to climb stairs and enjoying building block games... Anyway, enough of that.

Following August's 2nd anniversary celebratory shenanigans, September's Friday Drinks was thoroughly pleasant if a little more subdued. I arrived at the Adam later than usual and was thrust straight into the midst of a bar full of sweaty England fans. Not the kind of start I anticipated to my weekend. After ordering a pint and sending out a couple of desperate tweets I eventually navigated my way to the Friday Drinkers' beer garden table, following the intoxicating small of @jethrobelman's delicious home-grown courgette and blue cheese soup. Of course I can't forget the ever accommodating @JustinReid, whose frantic IPhone waving guided me home.

Recent FridayDrinks recruit, the effervescent @Mincetroll, brought along her currently Twitterless niece, Leanne, who graciously endured the geeky witterings of us older folk and explained the finer points of retail management at Lincoln College. @jethrobelman and @Mincetroll engaged in some mutual hat appreciation before Jethro shared the fruits of his garden in the form of the aforementioned courgette soup. I don't think I'd be speaking out of turn if I say this should be made a regular culinary feature of #FridayDrinks, in much the same way as @vickyperry's cakes.

Hope to see a few more people there next month, but that's all for now.

Who'd have thunk it would still be going on all this time later and that we'd have met so many fine folk over the years?

As you might expect this months #Friday Drinks was as great as any other, even more so with celebrating the anniversary which was made authentic by @vickyperry and the amazing cakes she baked. Perhaps the only thing missing was the company of some of the regular peeps (no shaming here, but you know who you are ;-). Saying that, offsetting the no-shows were two new peeps; @TheChasemeister who came with the @theLincolnite and @MinceTroll whose passion for the rear of tractors almost needed censoring (she'd have us believe she was messing but I don't believe it for a second ;-)

Before I sign off with the usual pleasantries, as I mentioned on the night I've been talking with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (@RAFBBMF) on and off about putting together a full on tweetup. It's very early days and there won't be any serious discussion for a few months yet, just wanted to throw it out so if you fancy coming and maybe get involved you can be pondering it..

This month's #FridayDrinks was another great one...except, of course, for the fact that @JustinReid had some last minute work to do on the AR layers for the Waddington Airshow app, so unfortunately couldn't make it (only the 2nd time in nearly 2 years).

This month saw the regular crazy-cats of myself, @springlamb and @PipWilson (hold on.... didn't Pip wave goodbye to #FridayDrinks last month? That's definitely a tenner someone owes me....I knew he missed us too much), the welcome return of @lostmoya (who found his way back!), a brief appearance by @JethroBelman and three 'newbies' in the form of @timoncheese, @artesea and Jen (Mrs @lostmoya - a non-tweeter).

It was another late one....with certain people (cough cough) staying out 'til after 4am and watching the sun rise on the way home (Rock 'n' Roll!)

Topics of discussion this month included Google+, Android and the upcoming 'Lincoln Shorts' event happening at the Drill Hall on Thursday 21st July (see @lincolnshorts for more info).

We also discussed that August's #FridayDrinks is our 2nd birthday (yes it's gone mega fast!) Keep your eye on the blog and the @FridayDrinks account for details about making it one to remember!

So last Friday was my last #FridayDrinks in a while. But don't be sad, I will be back from time to time and I am hoping to start a #FridayDrinks in Grantham all being well (oooo crosstown #FridayDrinks anyone?). Anyway the night was well attended. I say night, it was a glorious evening in the beer garden at the Adam and Eve. I think, for the first time ever, we were the last people in the pub. As evidenced by Vicky Perry's pics in the gallery above, we ended up back at mine followed by a long walk down Burton Road to Vicky's pad. I only know this because I'm told this is what happened. Hey, whats a #FridayDrinks if Pip doesn't forget part of the night, huh? Anyway the past (nearly) two years has been great getting to know the actual people behind those twitter profiles, and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. So it's au revoir from me and I shall leave you with a small gallery of proceedings and the obiligatory list of tweeps in attendance. Take care y'all!
