Drinks for tweeps
Well this all started with an almost throwaway comment which a few guys picked up on:
Mmm, that's a thought. Wonder if any Lincoln tweeps fancy a #FridayDrinks tweetup sometime?

With a few retweets the word has got around - how far? Who knows? But that's the great thing about Twitter. (even a little local radio spot)
Who will turn up? Well, hopefully you. The main aim is to meet some of the fine folks we all converse with. Beyond that it's the end of the week and the start of the weekend; so why not celebrate! :D
What is it?
The idea is for a casual get together of Lincoln (and surrounding area) Twitter folk. Have a drink and see what comes of it. Beyond meeting up there's no schedule or agenda.
Is this the first? Is it the last?
Tweetups have been going on around the country, heck the world, for the last couple of years. Some more organised than others. Will there be another in Lincoln? Undoubtedly, at this point it's too early to say if there will be another #FridayDrinks but who knows? Could be the start of something or nothing more than a hi...

Where is it?
The plan is to meet up at the Holiday Inn bar on the Brayford around 7.30pm on the 7th of August '09. Now I should say that there are no agreements with the Holiday Inn - It's just a nice bar which should be able to accommodate us.
Who can come?
You can. Well, the invite strictly speaking is for Lincoln twitter folk - but if you have an interest in social media, feel free... Mmm, if that's the case, why aren't you on twitter?
